Palmy Home in Ranong/Thailand

1.

A Place in the Green

Not far from the fresh market, just a bit outside of Ranong's rush, Palmy Home is situated at Kamlangsab Road in a quiet area near a green park, in which historical Rattanarangsan Palace is situated.
What's really cool here is that the guesthouse is built into a jungle slope. One lives here literally inside the jungle, with all the comfort of the modern world. Some 'bigger' animals as some birds like the greater coucal or squirrels are to see around, and of course a number of insects. Jungle plants grow a few meters apart from the rooms. It's green and quiet.

Besides all the rooms are very clean and look tidy and bright. The room service cleans them frequently. There are rooms with air conditioner or fans, some have fridges, some have hot water. Even the cheapest rooms for 250 Baht offer a really good value. Free, very fast wifi is available in all of the rooms and at the veranda in front of the place.

English is spoken, particularly by the manager of the family-owned guesthouse Ms. Nalinrat Rakkhu. Ms. Rakkhu is also very innovative, permanently improving the guesthouse.

Besides there is a good laundry service attached and motorbikes are for rent.

By the way: if you are on the way to Ko Phayam or Ko Chang, the public kind of bus (songtheaw) to the pier (saphan pla) is passing by the road in front of the guesthouse every few minutes (the fare is 15 Baht). It's the same bus which goes to the Burma/Myanmar pier for those, who need a visa renewal in Kawthaung.
